Dyslexia Help & Special Needs Resources
Reading Dyslexia is a relatively common learning disability often times characterized by the reversal of numbers, letters, and words while reading. As a common disability among children, Reading Dyslexia greatly hinders childhood literacy despite having normal intelligence. Among adults, Reading Dyslexia is uncommon, but may appear as a result of brain injury or during dementia.
The cause of Dyslexic Reading is largely unknown, but as an information processing problem, there is a great deal of research being done on curing dyslexia. Current treatments for Reading Dyslexia are primarily based upon personalized education programs. Because the effects of Dyslexia vary so widely among dyslexic children, no single treatment has been shown to be effective among all individuals.
