Sound Reading Studies = Results - Learn to Read in 15 hours...

For over a decade, Sound Reading has been working with teachers across the nation to provide the most effective and efficient reading instruction.

Most reading instruction, including programs that take dozens of hours, rarely improve even one area of reading ability by as much as 10% percentage points. Sound Reading uniquely improves word reading, fluency and comprehension scores...not by a meager 10% but to grade level as a minimum.

Positive Results with Urban Middle School Students

Over the course of a 3 week pilot, 5 students, (one 6th grader and four 8th graders) at Savannah High, Savannah, Georgia made remarkable growth in reading comprehension and phonemic awareness using the Sound Reading
Software program. Students used the software for approximately 15 sessions.
Students 1 and 2 are special education students and received other remedial
reading instruction during the course of the pilot. Students 3, 4 and 5 received
no other reading remediation. When one of the students who participated in
the pilot was asked by her teacher to describe what she thought about Sound Reading in one word, her response was "Great!".

Positive Results with At-risk Six Grade Students

Students make impressive gains; even older students who have long struggled with reading.

In just a few months, sixth grade special education students at
Lakeshore Elementary School in Portsmouth, Va. made significant reading gains.

Positive Results in Tier One (whole class) Instruction

Students don't just learn to read, they learn how to be proficient readers.

Eighty-seven students in rural Newfield (N.Y.) Elementary school took part in a six month whole class Sound Reading Improvement and Intervention. Their teachers were concerned about their students' low test scores and poor decoding and fluency.

The results were quite positive, not only did students show progress just after the intervention; they continued to show improvement when tested two years later.

Duration: 15 to 30 hours during a regular public education schedule.
